Hi, we’re George and Nikole. We’ve been a couple for over 12 years, and together we’ve built a life, a family, and now—this little corner café in Regina that we’re so proud to call ours.
Coffee and food have always been at the center of our lives. For us, it’s not just about serving drinks or baking desserts—it’s about connection. It’s about making people feel welcome, remembered, and appreciated. When you step through our doors, you’re not just another customer—you’re part of our extended family.
Coffee isn’t just George’s job—it’s his craft. With decades of experience, countless hours perfecting roasting, and a deep understanding of what makes each bean unique, George has a gift: he can spot what someone will love in their cup almost instantly. Whether you’re a “double-shot, no-foam” regular or trying something new, his joy comes from matching you with the coffee that starts your day just right.
For Nikole, baking is pure joy. Almost two decades in the food and pastry world have shaped her style: detailed, creative, and always from the heart. From breads and soups to elaborate wedding cakes, everything is made with the belief that “it’s all about fantasy, it’s all about taste—there’s nothing that can’t be made.” If you’ve tried one of our desserts, you’ve tasted that passion.
Every business has a journey, and ours has been shaped by love, hard work, and community. From our early years in Greece to making Regina our home, each step has brought us closer to what The French Press is today. Here are some of the moments that mean the most to us.
George and Nikole officially become the owners and operators of The French Press Coffee & Tea Co., turning their shared dream into a reality.
They begin managing The French Press Coffee & Tea Co., transforming it from the ground up by replacing frozen and pre-made foods with fresh, homemade creations.
George and Nikole meet in Greece and quickly realize they share not only a love for each other but also a passion for food, coffee, and hospitality.
Nikole is building her pastry career—working in bakeries, hotels, and fine dining restaurants, creating desserts that blend taste with artistry.
George begins his journey in the coffee world, working as a head barista and traveling through coffee-growing countries to learn the art of roasting.
with love, nikole & George
At the end of the day, our greatest inspiration is each other—and the community that continues to support us. Thank you for sharing this journey with us. We can’t wait to welcome you into The French Press, whether you’re stopping in for your morning coffee, lunch with a friend, or dessert to celebrate something special.
